Life Can Do Lots of Things to You (by A.C.)

Life can hurt you
in many different ways.
It can hurt your heart
It can hurt your soul
Life is just a weird little thing
Life is interesting yet it is painful
Life can hurt you badly
It can hurt love
Life can make you sad
Life can throw lots of things at you
It can give you strength.
Life can give you happiness
It can give you sadness.
Life can give you pleasure
It can give you courage
Life can do lots of things to you.

    This is wonderful--and heartfelt. I can read your influence in the lines of this poem by AC. You give your students the ability to look and think about things in so many ways, and then teach them how to use their words to tell what they see.
